Vandoren Traditional Alto Saxophone Reeds - 10 Per Box
The favorite reed of classic saxophonists worldwide since Marcel MULE, it has always been (and is still) used with equal success by many players.
Two legendary examples:
Lee Konitz:
I'm using [..] a Vandoren two reed* [..] I had been using a plastic medium reed for the past 5 or 6 years but just recently switched to the cane. Right now, I'm using a soft setup which gives me the flexibility I can't get in a harder setup.
- Saxophone Journal, Spring 1985
*For alto; for the soprano sax, Lee Konitz uses a Vandoren #3 reed (both with V5 mouthpieces).
Stan Getz:
I don't like a reed sound. I have to work hard to get my sound because I use a harder reed (med-hard Vandoren)*. People think I play effortlessly.- Saxophone Journal, Winter 1986
